11 Shaolin Warrior Monks Attend 2016 Singapore Lighting Ceremony to Mark Mid-autumn Festival

At the invitation of Singapore Performing Arts Association, 11 Shaolin Warrior Monks would attend the 2016 Singapore Lighting Celebration to mark the Mid-autumn Festival. The lighting ceremony will be held on Sept.3, which is a national celebration in Singapore, Besides, Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister Brigadier General Teo Chee Hean will present that day as the Guest-of-Honour.

Ven.Abbot Shi Yongxin gave an instruction to Master Yancen and other warrior monks before they left, he encouraged them to work together to give an excellent performance and to show the rich Shaolin Martial Arts Culture to the people of Singapore, Futhermore, he also expressed his greetings and best wishes for the people there.

As the Mid-autumn Festival is one of the most important traditional festival for Chinese, the Lighting Ceremony is held annually at Chinatown in Singapore to unveil a month-long lantern show. Moreover, there are all kinds of brilliant floor show at the square in Chinatown except the lantern show, filled with rich cultural atmosphere.
